Following PHIN 2008 there was a discussion about the need to bring the service to the data. This is something I've been thinking a lot about and trying to plan accordingly for. Especially since the need to bring the service to the data keeps popping up again and again. Last week I called Wayne to discuss my work with the cloud/Nimbus and how Johns Hopkins and Utah might collaborate on a project that brings the service to the data.
